Can You Play Better Golf Without Practicing More?

Can You Play Better Golf Without Practicing More?

Improving your golf mental game is the most effective way to lower your scores when you have limited time to train. See how focusing on the green can change your results.

Most players spend hours at the range hitting drives, but this session highlights a different approach. By prioritizing your putting practice, you can shave strokes off your round without needing to overhaul your full swing. I test this philosophy by shifting my focus entirely to the green and tracking the impact on my overall golf score.

This video is for golfers balancing a busy schedule who want to see measurable progress. You will see exactly how mental adjustments during short game sessions lead to more confidence on the course. We analyze the process from the initial setup to the final putt, showing that smarter preparation often beats grinding for hours.

  1. Good round, Raul: The message of the video is a great one to understand. I'm very guilty of bringing swing lessons into a round.
Speaking of limited practice time, what I've found which helped are Nick Faldo (published books & videos on the subject of, "How to get better when you're older & can't practice as much,") along with the static positional exercises taught by Pete Cowen.

  2. Love this round bro. Improving in golf is just like getting stronger gym….we aren’t leaving one session expecting to be stronger…we’re happy putting another drop in the bucket. Lots to unpack here but love the mental game skills on full display. Showing up and not resisting what’s going on is a major win. Thera what leads to better golf Well played bro!
