CHANDLER, AZ – California men’s golf freshman Callixte Alzas shot 7-under par after two rounds of the Bombs, Darts, & Birds Collegiate on Monday. Alzas ended the day in eighteenth place, while the Bears shot 17-under par as a team and currently sit in eleventh place after day one.
Sophomore Trevor Cox caught fire with five consecutive birdies, leading the Bears with six birdies in round one, shooting 4-under par in the first two rounds. Junior Ziqin Zhou shot 3-under par in the two rounds, with four birdies in round one and an eagle in round two.
The Bears currently sit in 11th place, sitting behind a two-way tie for 10th between Eastern Michigan and ULM.
Cal will tee off tomorrow at 8 a.m. PT.
