My favorite swing have always been the unique swings. They hold up batter because it’s all natural. There only about 4” of the swing that has to happen for success. Wish Golf instructors would realize this and stop forcing the “perfect” swing on those that can’t. Seen a lot of people walk away from the game due to bad instruction.
Amazing just Amazing
That tire around his waist is impressive.
He is strong as in ox, period.
Without that guy getting screwed he wouldn’t have won.
For the average Golfer (99%) of golfers, a hip turn like Rory is not the best way to play. First because they're not physically able to do it and secondly because they are absolutely not able to make the adjustements to the club face. So what Ryan does is perfect… ! stay in front and over the ball, because average golfers are not looking for a 300 yard drive, but for a good impact. As Tiger used to say " If you are consistent and precise, it's fine whatever the swing technique…
Who cares.
Swing your swing. Most coaching is bullshit
For you to say no hip turn is a little wild.. he still generated the speed with the lower body and compresses the ball just fine. The shut face isn't the best, but you cannot say his lower body is the same when he started
I have seen a lot of players with their arms / bodies in different positions on the back swing but the one thing all professionals do is have their arms/bodies etc in the correct positions on impact and even going through into their follow through.
I know it was a flash in the pan situation, but if Matthew Wolfe got the club in a good position at impact it truly does not matter what the takeaway/first 50% of your swing looks like
Its his natural form, taylored over decades of playing. Not every golf swing is the same. The fundamentals are but the execution isn't.
Swing your swing
Impact is all the matters.
Perfect example of owning your swing and consistent repetition. It may not be ‘Textbook’… but clearly it was reliable for Fox to win the claret jug, and that’s all that matters. It’s a score card not a post card. GOOD ON HIM!! Well Done!
Perfectly technical accurately performed. He is drive loading and using his body as a launching pad. He is fully employing trail arm thrust. He has an active elbow. In essence he is HITTING Check out Palmer , Moe Norman , Trevino and so on. Such technique requires a lot of thrust and therefore superior strength.
I always tell my students, gorgeous golf swing bad clubface equals bad golf shot. Ugly a$$ swing good clubface equals good golf shot. Swing yer swing own yer clubface .
Jim Furyk is The only man to shoot a 58 & 59, and look at his swing!
Crazy as the swing is – he doesn’t cast the club and generates tour speed
Works for him 😁😁😁
Face does not look shut relative to the swing plane. Also, he’s been measured at 20-odd degrees of pelvis rotation, which is about half of the tour average. That said, he has closer to the average overall pelvis rotation. A good combo for a cut.
I guess we'll never see.
Yeah but his swing works.
