The China Masters 2026, a BWF World Tour Super 750 event, will begin in Shenzhen on September 1, marking the first action for Indian shuttlers since the BWF World Championships.
A number of Indian players, including Ayush Shetty, PV Sindhu, Malvika Bansod and Aakarshi Kashyap, have already withdrawn from the tournament. However, the likes of Lakshya Sen, Tanvi Sharma, Unnati Hooda, and the men’s doubles pair of Satwiksairaj Rankireddy and Chirag Shetty will be looking to make strong starts to their campaigns.
Day 1 will see Unnati Hooda begin her campaign against South Korea’s Kim Ga Eun in the women’s singles, while MR Arjun and Hariharan Amsakarun will open their men’s doubles campaign against China’s Chen Bo Yang and Liu Yi.
