North Carolina Tar Heels fans may be sleeping on Alexandros Samodurov—but should they be? With elite EuroLeague experience and standout versatility at both the four and five spots, Samodurov has the potential to reshape UNC’s frontcourt rotation despite being overshadowed by teammates like Neo Avdalas, Sayon Keita, and Jarin Stevenson. Can Samodurov’s combination of athleticism, playmaking, and high basketball IQ make him a breakout star under Coach Michael Malone’s new system?
Isaac Schade and Riley Davis break down Samodurov’s strengths as a roller, shooter, and defender, compare him to past international prospects, and debate his best fit within the Tar Heels’ lineup. Key conversations cover his shooting consistency, adjustment to American college basketball, and projections for his role, minutes, and impact. Bold predictions, over/unders, and insights into UNC’s evolving basketball strategy round out this must-listen episode for die-hard Tar Heel supporters.

I think it’s good to be underestimated. They need to play ALL SEASON with a chip on their shoulder
Did he mean Isaiah Hicks???
Underated or overated ?
Who really knows anything ?
We havent seen one game with these players and coaching staff ..
We really dont know !!!
BUT…..its exciting and fans are anxious for the up coming season, to get started …
If a coaching wasnt made, no one would be excited and optimistic about the upcoming season .
Be fun to watch !!!
I think MM will get back to basics with good D and going inside to the big guys .
Around the basket is where the game is won..
Much like in football where the game is won at the line of scrimmage….
Should be fun !!!
GO HEELS !!!!.
BTW … Jarin Stevens CAN shoot the rock. Beautiful stroke … he will shoot a better clip this year. My words … put it down 👉
Isaac Is it possible that Fens could go back to South Dakota if he isn't able to get eligible?
Luka probably going to burn it up at his new school 😠
Love the mention of Bobby Lewis. Career average 22.1 ppg. And that's BEFORE the 3-point shot and BEFORE the shot clock. He and Miller together were arguably the best duo in UNC history.
Samo doesn't need to be shooting 3s !!!
Isaiah hicks lol
He is not underestimated. He is athletic and a good outside shooter but his rebounding and shot blocking are mediocre for a 7 footer.
Is riley filming in his bathroom??? Literally expect nothing less from a sleepers media guy. 😂
