The Srixon ZXi5 and Callaway Apex Ai150 are two irons built for golfers who want a combination of performance, forgiveness, and a clean players-style look. But when you put them head-to-head, how different are they really? In this video, we compare the ZXi5 and Ai150 to see what separates these two irons and which type of golfer might benefit from each one.
We put both irons through their paces and look at the numbers that actually matter in an iron fitting. We compare ball speed, launch, spin, carry distance, trajectory, and overall consistency to see where each head stands out. Beyond the launch monitor data, we also look at feel, appearance, and how each iron performs through the hitting experience.
The interesting question isn’t simply which iron goes farther. It’s how each model produces its performance and what those differences could mean for your game. Does one offer a better combination of speed and forgiveness? Does the other provide flight characteristics that could make it a better fit? And are the differences between the Srixon ZXi5 and Callaway Ai150 significant enough that you would actually notice them on the golf course?
If you’re considering the Srixon ZXi5 or Callaway Apex Ai150 for your next set of irons, this comparison should help you understand what you’re actually getting from each model. Watch the full test to see what the numbers reveal, where the biggest differences show up, and which iron might ultimately be the better fit for your golf game.

Nice vid i play 5/7 combo….wouldn't mind seeing the 7's go up against any of the Callaway players clubs like APEX CB, MB, TCB or X Forged. Love the content. Keep it up..
Loved my Zxi5/7 combo all year got over 105 rounds on them but finally got my new limited edition Miura LT-820's and holy cow thought I couldn't improve irons over the zxi line as Srixon is so good. If Miura had not dropped these super rare LH irons I'd had waited for the new Zxi7's.
I am a 14 handicap player. have the ZXi5's, AI200's and recently purchased the Wilson Dynapower forged. The AI200's were my least favorite of the 3. If you flush the AI's the ball goes 10 yards further but anything outside of that nickel size area is terrible. They drop off significantly and feel terrible. Srixons feel buttery and are the most consistent for sure. But, the Dynapower forged are my new favorite. They go 5 yards further than the Srixons, are super forgiving all over the face, spin just as well and are considerably less expensive. Dollar for dollar the best out there. Don't sleep on the Dynapower forged irons!
If you could somehow do spin rates of turf vs grass that would be great. Need to use the small ball for both obviously. Maybe bring a chunk of sod into the studio and hit back to back?
