A few months back I tested a fake LAB putter form Temu and it was a big surprise, I decided to order the latest LAB model and give it another go, should you consider TEMU for golf equipment or is it a complete waste of money and supporting an industry that perhaps we shouldnt?

Purchased a lot from Temu. Never had a problem. Purchased a LAB ? Original no problems. For me Golf equipment is far to expensive. Most of the products are made in China. The mark up on these products is excessive. There are also many Chinese (PGM) brands if one does not want a copy.
I have the same putter. My dad tried it and returned his $500 jailbird and ordered one for himself.
I appreciate your honest reviews!
I can't afford and will not pay for a £500+ Lab.
I have noticed even the Temu prices are going up! I think some Temu sellers are getting greedy too.
I ordered an OZ.1 styles putter a short while ago for around £70. Looking forward to it arriving soon. The VEN.1i putters are now >£90. One even well over £100.
I bought one off of Temu and hated that sound as well. I removed the insert and put it back on and tightened the torx screws and the sound went away.
Hi Andy thank you for the honest assessment. I purchased a kasmax golf putter from TEMU. When I tried the zero torque test it passed.
Your opinion is **
All that this shows is how ridiculously the major brand club manufacturers are price gouging their own customers.
If some Chinese company can make and sell these for $50-100 and make a profit sufficient to pay employees and pay their owners, how much do you think LAB is making off of you when they sell it to you for $600?
The only problem is that they put L.A.B. on the product. Because lets face it even the big brands copy one another. they just name it differently. Just look at the Odyssey Ai DUAL square. knock off of the df3 L A B putter.
China does not care one bit what anybody thinks!
I bought one from Temu a few weeks back, played 3 rounds with it so far and I absolutely love it.
Scotty Cameron has been copying Ping designs for decades. His most popular model ever is a clone of the original Ping Anser from almost 50 years ago.
No one seems to be too concerned about that?
I am 71 yrs. young and have about 75 putters. I an a 9 handicap and play on a goog public course where the greens are medimum fast and different all the time. I have purchased about 10 to 15 different putters on temu all the putters played well and had a good to great feel. I know they are fake copies of brand name putters but for the price i can afford them and play with new toy's that still get me exicted. Maybe all these pro equipment people need to come way down on there prices so the average joe on a budget can afford them. AS long as i can get something similar to the real thing at a fraction of the price i'm in.
My opinion. What is the difference from the real putter vs fake? It's like a YouTube video. Your getting all sorts of opinions what is entertaining. Different videos have different grades of quality. This is what I love about YouTube. Anyone can be whatever they want. So if someone buys this putter and loves it great. If not your not out a ton of money and can purchase the real or a different option because of money saved. I hated that we call something fake. It's just made different. I didn't call this video fake. It real and genuine. Thank you for taking the time to make this video.
That putter is nowhere on Temu
Nowt wrong with temu putter if it bothers you that much about working conditions these are made etc you need to look at what your wearing and where thats come from aswell…excellent putters for the price.
Good video, I personally hate the temu fake industry. Mainly as people will sell them on and trick people in 2nd market. I do understand the price is attractive though if that’s your budget
I have recently bought the Lashonda branded version of this model, and it's been an absolute game changer for my putting. I have zero guilt. Firstly, mine doesn't claim to be a legitimate LAB with the branding. Secondly, the reason this is happening is that LAB have chosen to shift production to China, knowing that many of these Chinese factories have no respect for copyright. They are handing the Chinese factories their product. They obviously do this to save money, but they do not pass these savings on to the consumer, the prices are as high as ever. I am convinced these 'fake' clubs are the real deal heads coming out of whatever factory is making the LABs. The main differences with a real one would be the shafts (I doubt those Accra's are legitimate) and the proper lie angle balancing that is done in the US. Which means for the people saying 'you're supporting poor working conditions' etc, buying a genuine LAB would also be supporting those same conditions, if it's coming out of the same factories. In fact it would be LAB themselves who are supporting those working conditions. LAB could have prevented this situation by keeping production in house, or at least passing the savings from their outsourcing on to the consumer to make the genuine product more affordable.
We all shop at Aldi with obvious rip off branded products so what’s the difference !!!!!!
Given that we are not professionals, we can and should take advantage of equipment that offers something close to the perfection advertised—especially since our game bears no resemblance to that of the pros, who are younger and in better physical shape. Furthermore, professionals get paid to play and use specific gear, whereas we pay to play and for every club we test or own. Your work is therefore essential to us, as you evaluate the options that are actually suitable for our skill level.
How can it be acceptable to spend a month's salary on a club used to hit a little ball?.
Your videos are very useful and I thank you for that, my sincere thanks to you partner.
Don’t Buy this it’s not zero it’s off balanced get the fake df3
Just got a Temu DF3i in blue with Accra shaft. I love it. The cons are as described here. The grip was not installed straight but I’m hoping that can be fixed by a repair shop. But I have putted so well with it that I
might not even fix it. And yes it does sound a bit tinny on longer putts. But the feel and results are hard to argue with the for me. I would never pay $600 for a putter so this was a very attractive option. Took three weeks for delivery to the U.S. and that made me a bit nervous but it arrived in mint condition.
Most clubs are manufactured in China. I assume labels are the only difference. Love rat brand.
Everything off Temu is excellent quality and price wise. China is so far ahead of the west it isn’t even close, the west is collapsing they power further and further ahead in all areas. They also don’t start wars.
the prices of golf equipments became outrageous and the mark up these brands charge is ridiculous so I understand why people look at alternative options on Temu.I have nothing against fake equipments ( that often are made in the same factories where are made the originals ) as long they bear a different name from the original
I once bought a fake Scotty Cameron on AliExpress, it looked great. But I never came over that it was fake. Gave it away later, but before that the paint in the back of the putter fell of like it was plastic and not paint like on the real putter.
I'm all for Temu selling golf equipment that's a copy of the original golfing manufacturers' equipment. I own the DF3 LAB replica from Temu and it is equally as good a putter as the original LAB DF3 putter, but the pricing difference are worlds apart. £48 vs £500 for an identical putter that performs equally as well as the original. You don't have to be a brain surgeon to work that one out… Golfing manufacturers have been ripping off the golfing masses for decades. Now it's their turn. Well done Temu for offering a cheaper alternative way to purchase golf equipment 👏👍
Dont see a problem unless people are selling them on as Original Product .
Lets face it anyone buying a copy of any original is never going yo buy the real expensive product anyhow .
Big brand Golf equipment is vastly overpriced hence the growth in the copy market .
I bought the mezz copy as I wanted to try a centre shafted putter and it was cheaper than buying a battered 2nd hand putter from eBay or golfbidder/golf clubs for cash. So far I am not disappointed!
Send the link to buy
Showcasing is a great question, and that all depends on the quality, IE a friend of mine is a huge football fan, he buys his kids shirts from the club shop at 100 quid a time, the label says made in Thailand, now I can buy the same shirt here in Thailand for one hundred Bhart IE 4 quid. so if the quality is good more fool the people who are extorted for $400. I would add back in 1999 in the UK I paid 70 quid for a Taylor Made Nubbins putter, I still use it twice a week every week now here in Thailand where I am a retired Brit 73 years old
I tried a Taylor made putter from my local pro shop and really liked the feel of it despite there being no demo clubs available ( they even made me leave the plastic wrapping on the putter head) I wasn't willing to pay over 400 quid for a putter so I took a chance and got a 59 quid copy from Temu ( with coupons) I didn't like the grip so I changed it for a super stroke pistol grip ( which cost nearly as much as the putter) but it's the best putter I've ever had and so far the finish hasn't deteriorated.I have had fairway woods from Temu which have not been good, paint chipping and the shafts not being right but at that price I suppose you can't guarantee quality,I just can't argue with the results,I hardly ever 3 putt any more.
Whether fake or real you should always try 2 or 3 on the putting green before you buy
I am tempted i must say!
Maybe they are LAB putters just sold at a more honest price. Who's to say the major companies are using Temu to sale their product at a reasonable price. 😊
Wasn't LAB recently purchased by another company and that company started outsourcing parts of the manufacturing to China…that would explain why the copies are so dead on…they are just LABs with different branding. I'm an armlock guy, an OG LAB is $700 for me. There isn't another putter on the market that offers an armlock version and charges more money for it, just LAB.
Putters are fascinating. So many styles, makes and prices. Having watched fellow club players on practice greens, and on course greens, I realise whatever the shape, cost etc. they all miss as many Putts as they do sink. The search for the Magic wand never ends !
Please can you share link please? I would love to try and appreciate your previous review
It just shows how much money the golf industry makes
I have this putter no way I could have justified paying 4 to £600 for an actual LAB. Would be more than happy to contribute to LAB’s R&D and production cost if their putters were not as expensive. Have tested mine in a home made revealer and yes it does a good job at staying square to path. As for the grip it’s easy to remove buy a cheap grip removal tool on TEMU some solvent and grip tape. See YouTube for some good videos on how to do it, Elite Club Maker is good for any work on your clubs. Thanks Andy for some down to earth great content. 😎🏌️♂️
Are these Temu putters legal for Club Competitions in the UK?
I have a Coffee Brown Te-Lab and it’s amazing lol
I think the real problem is the PRICE OF “REAL” GOLF EQUIPMENT. Instead of charging $600, charge $3-400. It’s absolutely ridiculous and you won’t convince me it’s appropriate just because it’s where the market is for golf products. Then change the market lol wishful thinking I know
Hi Andy,I've just received a lashonda version of this for£64,all I can say is it's great,3 months ago I bought a set of calong USA branded irons and again they perform great, 5 iron to sw for £131,it's a no brainer, great video
Someone gotta pay for their villa's
I bought a real DF3, effing pricey yes, but golf is a physiological game too, and I believe you get what you pay for.
