Great concept. Qi4D is so good. Would like to see the wood driver video. Keep up the excellent videos!
I just went back to my Burner Driver (2007) and hit it better than my newer driver (RadSpeed Driver). It's back into the bag.
SIM 2 Max is and had been the peak
This was a really fun video to watch. Thanks for showing the Whatnot bidding process. Look forward to future video similar part of this.
COR was not a thing back in 1979.
I have the Taylormade r7 quad [from 2004?](the first year of 460cc drivers). I also have a Ping G425 and a Wilson Dynapower (2025/6). The r7 is just as long as the Wilson and interestingly enough gets more ball speed off the face. The Ping comes in at third place just a little behind these. Forgiveness doesn't seem to be an issue. My swing speed is 98-100
This is such a cool video. One thing that would be even cooler is if you could put a modern shaft; preferably matching the TM, and cut to the same lengths to see the real differences.
Thanks so much for your business and support Gabe!! What an awesome idea for a video. Appreciate the shoutout too! WhatNot really is a super fun space โณ๏ธ
The spin #'s on the TM Pittsburgh were crazy inconsistent ! Forgiveness wasn't the focus evidently when they were designed. Imagine being a pro using this with a crappy wound ball ! Yikes !
Hickory shaft irons when? ๐
You doxxed yourself in your whatnot ad FYI ๐ฎ
Another great video. Thanks ๐ค
So, how did Jack Nicklaus hit drives over 300 – 340 yards without a steel headed driver!? ๐ง
How did an LPGA player
Win a Womenโs US Open with a Callaway 4+ steel fairway/ driver hit on every hole that required a long tee shot not too long ago at Pumpkin?
It Just shows how much Materials Engineering goes into a head for the masses so that they can swing with abandon and get one into play! Maybeโฆ ๐
And why is it that an old Ping Putter from 1969 has the best feel and lowest putts per round today??
Itโs still called the Oakmont Putter!!
One problem with these type of comparisons, is that the original TM steel wood was made in the era of wound balata balls, so an 8 or 9 deg. doesnโt spin enough with a modern urethane ball to keep it airborne. It would be the opposite problem hitting a wound balata ball with a modern driver.
