  1. The easiest way to shift your weight forward is to start early.

If you wait until you reach the top of the backswing and then think, “Okay, now I need to quickly move my lower body forward,” you’re already too late. It becomes much harder to create a smooth sequence and good rhythm.

You almost can’t start shifting your weight forward too early.

With most consistent golfers, the recentering already starts around P2, shortly after the takeaway.

If you’re not sure whether you’re doing this correctly, film your swing and watch it in slow motion. Draw a line and look closely at when your body starts moving forward and when the recentering actually happens.
And if you don’t have an app to analyze your swing yet, search for „GolfSkool Analyzer“ in the App Store or Google Play Store. It’s the app I’m using in this video to draw the lines and analyze the movement.

And if you already know that you need some help with your Weight Shift, comment “GOLFSKOOL” and I’ll send you the link to our training platform, where LPGA Tour player Sandra Gal and I can personally help you improve your golf game.
