The Glen Rose High School golfers provided productive rounds on the green during matches held at Magellan and The Links this week for senior high competition.
Monday, August 17 in a 9-hole match at Magellan, the Beavers defeated Fountain Lake JV and Hot Springs. The Beavers finished with a winning team score of 135—Hunter Wright led and shot 37, Zaden Perryman shot 41, Blake McDonald shot 49 and Jaxson Long finished with a 61. Lady Beaver golfer Brooklyn Edwards competed and shot a 65 in the senior high girls match.
Thursday, Aug. 20 Glen Rose golfers competed at The Links in a 9-hole match. The Beavers finished third place with a team score of 148—Wright led the way and shot 37 as medalist, Perryman shot 50, McDonald shot 61 and Long finished with a 67. Episcopal captured the match victory in the boys competition with a winning team score of 119, while Maumelle Charter finished runner-up with a team score of 125.
In the senior high girls match, Lady Beaver golf Edwards competed as an individual and shot a 70.
Monday, Aug. 24, Glen Rose is scheduled to travel for a match at Malvern Country Club.
