The Simple Golf Grip Change That Makes Your Swing Feel Easy

The Simple Golf Grip Change That Makes Your Swing Feel Easy

Your golf grip shouldn’t feel forced.

In this video I break down the lead-hand grip and show you a simpler, more athletic way to understand how your hand should work with the golf club.

Using examples from tennis, other throwing and striking sports, and then the golf swing itself, I’ll show you how the way you hold the club can either free up or restrict the natural movement of your hands and wrists.

We’ll look at how to make the grip feel more natural, improve your control of the club and make producing a solid, repeatable strike much easier.

If your grip feels uncomfortable, your wrists feel restricted or you constantly feel like you’re fighting the clubface, this is a great place to start.

  1. If changing your grip feels awkward, that doesn’t always mean it’s wrong.

The question is: does it help you move the club better?

What part of the grip do you struggle with most — lead hand, trail hand or pressure? 👇

  2. I have changed to the Malaska method and my accuracy has greatly improved.
With this grip I feel like I am going straight back and straight thru to the target and don't have to worry about body turn, like you are tossing someone out of a bar by taking hold of their belt and collar.
I have good distance with the shorter clubs up to 7 iron because of improved compression but longer clubs although still accurate don't seem to keep up the proper distance gaps.
Is there a slight difference in the swing with longer clubs and driver?
    Thank you
    in advance.
