As tight as 2 coats of paint.
I enjoy Vice balls as they are consistent all around balls, great designs(enjoy the drip style) and durable, plus great bang for your buck when you buy bulk or they do sales.
End of the day…you want an all around reliable ball.
@GolfBallAddict What do you think of this?
This was interesting to watch Dave try different balls. I'm a similar swing speed guy and play a TM TP5 all of the time now. I've tried different balls and just haven't found enough difference to sway me. The TP5 mainly has a great feel for me, and the pix model is easy for me to identify my ball when playing w/ my buds. Probably not the smartest choice, but I'm just out there for the enjoyment anyway!
Sorry Vice, but I don't go for all these daft colours. White or yellow only for me. I like a soft ball because of arthritic fingers, so not really interested in trying a mixed box. Srixon Q Star tour for me.
I have played the Vice Pro or Pro Plus ball. Bought them in 6 dozen lots from their website which, at the time, brought the price under $30.00 US.
I agree that the names need some work. The Tour ball is recommended for someone with a sub 100 mph swing. Where would you ever find a Tour player with a sub 100 mph swing?
I am a fan of Vice golf balls currently using the Vice Pro Tracer. Yours and James pronunciation of Urethane and Surlyn makes me smile. π
Love the coloured vice balls . A lot easier to find in the trees etc and i spend a lot of time in the trees.
The Callaway super soft is the perfect ball for Dave, they get up in the air easy, and they are affordable.
Shot an 81 today using the Vice Drive, I am 79 with a 22 index. Also had an Ace on hole 3 with a PXG PW at 113 yds. Usually use ViceDrive, Tour or Air.
Will seriously have to standardise on a particular golf ball !
Want it to match my Senior Club head speed !
Want to see it in the air !
Want it to have markings that shows end over end roll on the Green when putting !
Want to see it in Autumn amongst leaf litter !
Want it to be reasonably good when chipping onto the Green !
Price is important but will pay reasonably more for a good ball !
Reckon most folk would agree with the above !
BTW maybe I'm wrong but is Dave's putting slightly less accurate now that he isn't using the ARM LOCK putter ?
Callaway 2024 Chrome Soft for me, still available around. Havenβt tried the 2026 yet. Thanks for this piece.
Been using the vice pro and air. Excellent. I may get a box of the sirloin covered balls as often get hungry use to play a surlyn ball π
I got my first hole in one a few weeks ago with a vice tour golf ball. I think they're a good ball for seniors.
Im a 88mph swinger, been playing chrome tour and AVX, like the chrome tour for accuracy, like the avx for the feel, going to try the legato i think that maybe the sweet spot. I used to play the maxfli tour, but it seems they changed more than the compression, it does not feel good off the club
