Fulton’s Owen Van Zuiden wins Eastland invite: Van Zuiden shot a 76 to take first at Lake Carroll Golf Course. Winnebago (320) was team champion and the Steamers (332) took second, followed by Dakota (334) and Eastland (382). Amboy (386) was sixth. Fulton’s Hudson Price (80) took fifth and Talon Meyers (88) was 12th individually.
Eastland’s Jacob Brower (86) was 11th. Amboy’s Westin Wittenauer (89) was 15th.
Dixon’s Brody Nicklaus takes fifth at Rockford: Nicklaus shot a 71 as Yorkville’s Ian Saar (66) was medalist. Gunner Kastner (76) was 16th for the Dukes, which took eighth among 20 teams.
Byron Tiger Shootout: The Tigers (315) took first among eight teams and Landon Smith (74) was medalist. Forreston shot a 373 and Oregon shot a 385. Coen Schafer led Oregon with an 83 and Max Beltran led Forreston with an 83.
Girls golf
Eastland invite: Byron shot a 348 to take first and Oregon (469) was fifth, followed by Fulton (483) and Eastland (541). Byron’s Alayna Brandt (70) and Gwen Brandt (83) took first and second. Fulton’s Paisley Van Zuiden (96) took sixth. Eastland’s Ava Parkinson (103) and Oregon’s Lucy Beckman (103) took 10th.
