When you want to play 9 holes but take as much time as 18
This is insane!!!!

LOL @ that first hole. You can hit people in so many fairways with your tee shot…
Wow
Is the entire 9 spent yelling fore?
I hope they limit it to 5 groups max
Check out design__disasters on instagram, they have LOTS of these
Golf inception
Do you run?
What the actual fuck
Wow, 1st hole is insane. Its safer to hit it into the tree. The trek from 8 to 9 is more dangerous than crossing a highway.
I can only imagine how many balls are picked up by other groups on hole 1
Is this real life?
This score card does not convey how FAR the holes are from one another, and how there are NO signs pointing you in the direction you should be going. I felt like I was driving back and forth across the neighborhood over and over.
Players club at woodland trails in the most bonkers layout I’ve ever played.
$10 buck for 9 holes. Damn that’s a sweet deal. Yeah, if you survive the first hole. /s
Pace of play is probably decent if you’re one of the lucky ones who survive hole one.
Surprised there aren’t any greens being shared
That’s the kinda place I want to play once just to say I did it and survived.
This is my dream backyard and my nightmare Golfnow booking
Ive gotten too shitfaced at a charity scramble and aimed at the wrong green multiple times. If I saw this course I would just say add 100 and go straight home
When we went it was $150 for unlimited play all day limited to 40 players. There’s two pins and two tee boxes on every green and the greens are massive so you can play each hole two different ways. We played like 70 holes that day got there when they opened brought a grill and cooked breakfast and lunch there. At the end of the day when no one was really left except our group we played the secret course. The guys in charge gave us the map for it and it’s all crazy hitting across holes to other greens and what not.
That looks like the courses I used to try to fit into a single hole window in the Jack Nicklaus Golden Bear 6 course designer.
Mad Russian in Milliken, CO.
May not be quite as absurd, but I think there are 3 tee shots that cross other holes, so not too far off!
Does the cart rental come with a helmet?
Smoking crack makes more sense than this layout
Fellow Cincinnatian? I played this course when it was super dead, early this year off season. It was like $10 lol. I could not fucking imagine playing it on a weekend when it’s nice out lol.
Newtown Country Club, my home course for high school golf. 1st hole par 3. 2 intersects with 9 and 3. 4 is a 218 yd par 4 straight uphill, you tee off across a street. 6 is a par 3 with a 15’ flag stick because it’s up a steep hill. 8 is a 130 par 3 probably 80’ downhill.
Spud Run famously has one oversized fairway with a single green. There are nine tee boxes pointed at it from various distances and angles. That’s the whole course.
You dont book tee times, you just show up. I showed up right at 8am, the clubhouse wasnt open yet, just a sign on the door that said “put ten bucks in the mail slot and enjoy your round.”
My group was the only one there until a seniors league showed as we finished, so no incoming fire during our round. Well maintained course, the grounds crew were nice as well. Super chill place, at least the one time I have been. Live music on Fridays!
Hey! That’s the course in my backyard.
It really isn’t too heinous. Everyone is generally paying attention and really chill about everything. The biggest issue is trying to figure out which green you’re supposed to aim for. The signage is….lackluster. $17 for a burger and a bucket of beers makes up for the potential brain damage.
It took me way too long squinting at this, debating if I had a stroke, before I suddenly figured out “oh yeah golf holes don’t usually cross one another!”
It was 7 and 9 that I was stuck on. Didn’t even fucking notice the first hole until it all clicked.
Jesus Christ this is an abomination. I must go there.
Played there a couple years ago. Early morning and not to crowded. But still felt like crossing the road, need to look both ways before crossing.
I had to look this one up because I’m from Cincinnati and have never heard of it. Based on its location, I’m not surprised.
That’s wild!
