RAWLINS — The place where golf history was made is welcoming back the golfer who made it happen.
From Monday, Aug. 17, through Wednesday, Aug. 19, two-time World Long Drive Champion Kyle Berkshire will return to Rochelle Ranch Golf Course — the site where he hit the longest golf drive ever professionally measured and recorded.
The event is free and open to the public.
“Having the longest golf drive in history happen at Rochelle Ranch was an incredible moment for our course and our community,” said Kevin Gannon, golf professional. “We’re excited to welcome Kyle back and can’t wait to see what happens when he steps onto the tee again.”
In October 2023, Berkshire made international headlines when he launched an officially measured 579.66-yard drive, setting the world record for the longest golf drive ever professionally measured and recorded. The achievement brought worldwide attention to Rochelle Ranch Golf Course and highlighted the unique combination of elevation and expansive fairways that makes the course unlike any other.
Now, Berkshire is returning to the course where history was made. Visitors will have the opportunity to watch one of the world’s longest hitters in action, meet Berkshire, and celebrate the record-setting moment that put Rochelle Ranch Golf Course on the map for golf fans around the world.
The event will feature meet-and-greet opportunities, giveaways, and live long-drive demonstrations.
Event times will be announced closer to the event and will be weather permitting. This event is presented by Rochelle Ranch Golf Course and the City of Rawlins, with additional support from Crowbar Bar & Grill at Rochelle Ranch and WLC Engineering & Surveying, and produced in cooperation with Discover Carbon County, Wyoming.
