What are your thoughts on Jim Rutherford stepping down after the NHL Entry Draft?
Rutherford and Allvin just came and wrecked the team. Hughes gone… They couldn’t build around him, so they traded him and dipped. What a mess. At this point I actually want new ownership. I used to ignore it everytime fans would bring it up, but the naysayers were right all along.
It is probably for the best, but the new president should hire the new general manager!!God bless!!!
I like Linden for President, Adams, or Johnson for G.M..

Rutherford's tenure sort of feels like when we got Messier. There was excitement, leadership, a hall of fame resume.
A couple seasons in. The team is at it's worst, the C'nucks are in shambles, people getting fired.
The hall of famer exists stage left and leaves the mess to the next guy.
Neither will wear that cap as their legacy.
F Toronto! F the NHL! So depressing. Every. Single (so many!) loss, I said, ‘it’s ok, this will increase our odds of getting the number 1 pick’. IT WAS NEVER GOING TO HAPPEN!
Just as the GM should pick his own head coach, how can they hire a GM before hiring a president? The only way that this can work is with the team bringing in both a president and GM at the same time. I want Doan-Johnson-Maholtra as a trio, but it seems like this won’t happen and the team will remain dysfunctional.
The entire mismanagement team/office needs to be dismissed.
I feel bad for Canuck fans. I hate how the NHL and NBA drafts work. The worst team, which should be given the first overall pick, but instead, they only have increased odds of obtaining the first overall pick. This feels rigged to me, which is a shame and no fan should ever feel that way about what draft picks the team you root for will end up with. The NHL needs to adept the NFL's drafting standers. The worst team after each season, should be given the first overall pick to address there main need. Luckily this is a deep draft class and the Canucks got the third overall pick. The Sharks picking ahead of them is a crime and more proof to me, that the draft is rigged. Sharks have a lot of hype due to Celebrini. While it's a smart business move by the NHL, it still sucks for the fanbases affected by it.

I hope Jim's legacy is that helped make ownership commit to the rebuild if he does accomplish that then he what this franchise needed
