The quotes from Rory that you provide don’t prove that Rory was right about LIV and its downfall. All they are is him saying that he hates it….that doesn’t equate to him saying that it’s going to fail. Also, for him to go out of his way to call LIV immoral is hypocritical. His brand, Nike, spends tons of money on the saudis every year through endorsing their sports teams while also being one of the few companies to keep their players after going to LIV.
And your conclusion about Bryson is downright slanderous. He still not only plays in the majors but he focuses on them. He’s won a major since going to LIV and has been competitive in a number of them since then. It’s not like he sucks at golf now and doesn’t practice. Everyone has down years…even Rory who has had years were he’s missed 3 of 4 cuts in the majors. And to dispute that penalty is fair. He was only out disputing it for 15 minutes on the course. 2 strokes is a big deal when you are 1 or 2 shots off the lead and playing well. And to be fair, he probably deserved that penalty but to accuse Bryson of attempting to cheat and and being performative is literally performative in of itself. This would have gone away immediately but it didn’t. Also, so many other great players (Scottie) came to his defense and said that Bryson is anything but a cheater and truly loves the game of golf. And where did you get that idea that Bryson only loves money? That is a crazy take that is based upon one thing and one thing only,ie Bryson going to LIV. He has abandoned million dollar sponsorships regularly because he feels like there is better equipment out there.
