Faldo was a great player and focused on being the best he could be, period. He wasn't warm and fuzzy and neither was Tiger. Norman was bitter and entitled and he flat choked at the Masters. Spent his career focused on money and his post playing days hell bent on burning down the tour that game him everything. In the end, even with all the money, Norman never got what he wanted and was sent home from that ridiculous venture called LIV
If we were all the same life would be very boring. He clearly concentrated on playing the best golf he could and if that meant not being sociable then so be it.
Faldo was hard to like, you wouldn’t have him as your first choice for a beer, but easy to admire as a driven elite sportsman
Followed the game of golf and played for nearly 50 years. I have had my heroes in this spectacular highly individualistic game. Loved to understand the players characters,spirit and drive. All of the negative commentors on this video are far from perfect in my opinion based on their career behaviours. Except Jack maybe Paul Ainger. Westwood Poulter Garcia Strange have proven to be just as self focused, arrogant. Seve was certainly not perfect as he was charismatic. Langer, Price OMeara would be the best in my opinion Watson too. The game attracts many driven selfish players, Norman was very unpopular in the then Ruropean Tour. Torrence was a star. Anyway enough said.

How crazy was Ben Hogan. He was WAS the Wee Iceman. He was not shy to make a nasty comment and make you feel small, insignificant. He has a very hard time complimenting anyone. He would make Rookies feel awful. And he was not friendly. This man NEVER called Arnold Palmer by his name…he would use “hey you” or “fella”. In EVERY SPORT there are people like that and every business.
