It’s been said that any publicity is good publicity. LPGA star Charley Hull certainly put that theory to the test at the Women’s British Open last week.
Hull, who receives universal praise every time she simply lights up a cigarette, caught a ton of flak for a “prank” on her caddie, Adam Woodward. The 30-year-old from England told the press the story on the night before the final major of the season began, and it involved buying a fake £100,000 winning scratch card from a joke store. The fake card was given to Woodward who thought he had won £100,000. Hull defended the prank after the story had gone viral, saying Woodward saw the humor in it after the fact.
