Roughie says £25m is simply too good to turn down: with West Ham (and reportedly Everton) circling, he thinks Celtic should cash in on Arne Engels while the money’s on the table. Peter Martin and Tam McManus debate whether selling their record signing is smart business — or another sign of a board that won’t back the manager.
Plus, on the opening weekend of the 2026-27 Scottish Premiership: Peter reckons Derek McInnes’s Rangers will be much tougher to beat this season, the panel run the rule over Motherwell and Hibs’ European nights, and preview the fixtures across the league — Hearts, Aberdeen, Falkirk and St Mirren.
Tam McManus also gives his verdict on Gianni Infantino’s future, arguing the FIFA president is a “dead man walking” as the confederations line up against plans to sell off the game’s competitions to private investors.
And the show pays tribute to Franco Baresi, the AC Milan and Italy legend who has died aged 66 — one of the finest defenders the game has ever seen, a one-club man who won six Serie A titles and three European Cups across 20 years at the San Siro.

Devlin will be off, Cadden is his replacement with Lobban the young understudy. Mitov is off, which is why we bought Muller.
Our 2 new wide players are proven spfl players, Ronan is quality, Lyons another solid player, still got our main 2 CBs recovering from injury and we are still looking to sign more.
SR will make us hard to beat, we're match fit, Nizzy is confident, we have a few good midfielders now.
Rest in peace Franco worlds greatest defender 🙏
Rip. Franco. 😢
I'll never understand the medias love in with McInnes, he's won one major trophy in 19 years 😂
Frst manager casualty hearts boss
John Souttar the Scottish Baresi
That was embarrassing from The Ragers, Didnt have a style of play and didnt look like they have improved from last year
In think engels was just as important as maeda at the end of the season. When he came back from injury you could notice the shift in midfield
