LAREDO, Tex. (KGNS) – A Webb County commissioner is asking whether events at the county-owned Casa Blanca Golf Course are generating enough revenue to justify their operational costs.
Commissioner John Galo requested a full financial accounting of all course events from management company KemperSports.
Revenue figures show year-to-year swings
The data shows inconsistent revenue over recent fiscal years. Event income totaled nearly $110,000 in fiscal year 2023, jumped to more than $306,000 in fiscal year 2024, then fell to just over $215,000 in fiscal year 2025.
Through September of fiscal year 2026, the course is tracking at $253,000.
KemperSports reports steady booking rate
KemperSports said nearly one in two event inquiries results in a booking. The company also said the course has retained all of its established tournament business.
