The Simplest Way to Compress Every Iron

The Simplest Way to Compress Every Iron

Struggling with fat shots, thin shots, or just inconsistent iron strikes? This one drill fixes bad contact for good. In this video, I’ll show you the feet together drill β€” a simple iron drill that helps you compress the golf ball properly, stop hitting behind the ball (fat shots), stop hitting the top of the ball (thin shots), and finally strike your irons pure and consistent. If you’re a golfer working to break 90 and want better ball striking, proper compression, and more consistent contact on every iron shot, this drill is for you.

  1. Heading to the range, gonna try the step through and the flared out trail foot. Will have to make sure I don't have my belt crooked πŸ™‚ A lot of bad habits (like swaying) gonna have to be untrained for this old dog.

  2. The only angles that I sort of hold in my swing is with the right wrist and shaft to left arm which is not a holding of angles at all but rather a position that's held only by the downward forces of the swing, with very loose wrists causing those angles to be maintained Until the right moment. If I were to try and hold those angles I would loose speed and direction and create a need for more timing in my swing.
