Golf course vandalized in South Carolina: Here’s why no charges will be filed
CHESTERFIELD COUNTY, S.C. —
Two juveniles will not face charges after vandalizing a golf course in South Carolina; instead, the golf course said it wants to use this as a valuable lesson.
The Chesterfield County Sheriff’s Office said the vandalism happened on July 23 at the White Plains Golf Course in Pageland.
Investigators said they identified two juveniles as the people responsible.
They said they talked to the parents and reminded them of the curfew ordinance and issued them a warning.
White Plains Golf Course decided not to press charges and instead use this as an opportunity for the juveniles to learn a valuable lesson about accountability and the importance of understanding that actions have consequences.
Authorities said the juveniles will work with the golf course to help make amends for the damage caused.
