Last year’s winner, Ryan Bain posted the lowest qualifying aggregate score after rounds of 70 and 67 for a four-under-par 137 over the two courses at Lossiemouth.

Moray hopefuls Rory MacEwan and Jordan Edwards carded a 138 total, but both were to exit the tourney in the opening knockout stage.
Former champ Ryan Copland and ex-Elgin five-day winner Corey Edgar scored 139 in qualifying.
There was a clash of the titans in Wednesday’s knockout as holder Bain faced up to third-best qualifier Edwards, and held his nerve to win on the 17th by a 2&1 margin.

Thursday morning sees the last 16 ties played in all three events, with the MacPherson Rosebowl contested for lower handicaps and Ross Anderson trophy for higher handicap.
