Kai Trump, the granddaughter of President Donald Trump, usually makes headlines for her social media content and golf skills. That being said, she’s trending this week for a completely different reason.
Back in January 2025, Trump revealed that “Outer Banks” actor Drew Starkey was her celebrity crush. Fast forward 18 months later, and Starkey is no longer at the top of her list.
During an interview with Fox News Digital, the University of Miami commit revealed that “The Gentlemen” actor Theo James is her new celebrity crush. The 41-year-old actor has appeared in a plethora of popular movies and shows, including “Divergent” and “The White Lotus.”
“I think Theo James now, yeah, Theo James, I would say, so it’s changed,” Trump told Fox News. “I mean, like, I still like him [Starkey], but it’s just changed a little.”

What does the future have in store for Kai Trump?
Kai, who made her LPGA Tour debut at The Annika last November, already has an NIL valuation of $2.25 million. She’s expected to generate a ton of buzz while at Miami.
As for a potential career in politics, it sounds like Kai isn’t interested in following her grandfather’s path.
“Honestly, I kind of stay out of politics completely – it’s just not my thing,” she told Sportico at the 2026 ESPY Awards. “But I think the UFC event was great and it was really cool being there. Having veterans in the stadium is how you can combine the America 250 [with sports].”
Time will tell if Trump develops into a LPGA-level golfer.
