Jordan Spieth is feeling confident ahead of the 2026 Open Championship as he returns to Royal Birkdale, the venue where he captured his third major title in 2017.
Speaking before the tournament, Spieth said he feels his game is stronger than his recent results suggest and described this week’s championship as “a really good opportunity” to turn his form into a title challenge. The former world No. 1 also reflected on his memorable victory at Royal Birkdale and hopes to create more special moments on one of golf’s toughest links courses.
Spieth tees off alongside hometown favourite Tommy Fleetwood and two-time major champion Jon Rahm as he looks to add another Claret Jug to his collection.
