REDMOND, Ore. — There will be a new place to practice your swings regardless of the weather in Redmond.
The Juniper Golf Course recently broke ground on a new driving range that will use virtual reality (VR) tracking to compile the data of your golf swings. That includes swing speed, launch angles and lets golfers track exactly where their ball lands.
According to the Juniper Golf Course General Manager Pat Cashman, the new driving range can appeal to golfers at all skill levels.
“It’s going to be a great amenity to us,” Cashman said. “This is really only stage one. Stage two is to add permanent or mobile food and beverage outlet. And then potentially stage three would be expanding the range to add more.”
The driving range is expecting to open in September. It will be on a first come, first serve basis.
