FootGolf Is Way Harder Than It Looks

After I found out I can’t save penalty kicks, I wasn’t done with soccer yet.

I went out to Rancho Park in LA — one of the busiest public courses in the country — to play nine holes of golf with a soccer ball. I’m a 15 handicap in real golf, so I figured how hard could it be. I wore golf shoes. That was a mistake. I opened with a quadruple bogey on a par 3.
Final score: 50. Two pars, one quad, plenty of room for improvement. Shoutout to Rancho Park.

Learn from me: wear soccer cleats. And next time I’m playing somebody — which soccer legend should it be? Comments.

  1. LOL! Footgolf is good fun, man. Nice chip over the pipe. Did great when you kept your hips open. But, yea, the shoes did hold you back. Slip on a pair of Pantofola d'Oro and you'll be aces.

  2. Omg I love playing this!!! We played on a disc golf course though because we didn't have a soccer golf course nearby. Now I had my miniscus removed. 😢
