If you struggle with ball striking, inconsistent iron shots, fat shots, thin shots, or poor contact, this golf lesson will show you one of the simplest ways to improve your golf swing. By learning the correct Turn, Bump, Push sequence, you’ll create a more athletic downswing, improve pressure shift, and strike your irons with greater consistency, compression, and power.
Many golfers try to spin their hips during the downswing, but that often leads to slices, hooks, chunks, and thin shots. In this golf instruction video, you’ll learn why great ball strikers create power from the ground up by making a proper backswing turn, shifting pressure into the lead side, and pushing through impact instead of forcing hip rotation.
Whether you’re a beginner or an experienced golfer, these three simple checkpoints will help you improve your golf swing mechanics, develop more consistent ball striking, and hit cleaner, more compressed iron shots
In this lesson you’ll learn:
• Why golfers chunk and thin their iron shots
• The correct backswing turn for better balance and power
• How to stop sliding your hips in the backswing
• Why pressure shift is essential for consistent ball striking
• The subtle transition move that better golfers use
• Why pushing into your lead leg creates effortless rotation
• How to stop spinning your hips during the downswing
• The three checkpoints that improve every iron shot
• A simple mirror drill to improve your golf swing sequence
• How to create more compressed, solid golf shots
If you want to improve your golf swing, hit your irons more consistently, eliminate fat and thin shots, and develop better ball striking, this simple Turn, Bump, Push sequence can completely change the way you strike the golf ball.

Scott, are post up "the push" and impact simultaneous ? or are you completely posted up PRE impact. Are you already fully extended lead side prior to impact ?
Great video, Scott. I think the element I’m missing is the “push” upward with my left leg. I’ve had some knee problems and I think I’m protecting it from too much force. Also my follow through is coming across my body rather than straight out and high. Have you done a video focusing on the follow through and correct finish position?
Great video you’re a very good 👏teacher
I'm 65 now, in good shape, and have come back to the game after a 30 year break. Your videos are the the most concise, no-BS, lessons on YouTube. Thank you Scott for sharing your knowledge. My game is improving every time I work on the fundamentals as you teach them.
