Bryson DeChambeau opened The Open Championship with a spectacular first round, but it was his post-round comments that really got people talking. Was it a subtle—or not-so-subtle—shot at Nick Faldo after Faldo claimed Bryson plays “without any strategy”? We break down exactly what Bryson said, why it felt like the perfect response, and whether Faldo’s criticism ever made sense in the first place. We also discuss what this opening round means for Bryson’s chances to contend for the Claret Jug.

Let’s go!
Love y'all, but I'm hearing a strong lack of reverence for the sport and golf tradition. Not a good look.
We beat the empire with pitchforks and muskets, their soft.
F YES! Go Bryson!
"Sir"🤔🤣 Nick Faldo missed a total of 19 cuts in Men's Major Championships during his career. His missed cuts across the four Grand Slam events break down as follows: The Open Championship: 6 missed cuts The Masters: 6 missed cuts PGA Championship: 4 missed cuts U.S. Open: 3 missed cuts. Bryson DeChambeau has missed a total of 10 cuts in his men's major championship career (through The Open Championship). 🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔A total of 34 American players have combined to win The Open Championship (British Open) a remarkable 46 times. The lineage of American triumphs is rich with legends and modern stars: Walter Hagen (4 victories)Tom Watson (5 victories)Jack Nicklaus (3 victories)Tiger Woods (3 victories)Arnold Palmer, Lee Trevino, and Bobby Jones (2 victories each)Other notable champions include Ben Hogan, Sam Snead, Phil Mickelson, Jordan Spieth, and most recently, Scottie Scheffler. The men's U.S. Open golf championship, European players have won the tournament 28 times.
Well Bryson's got about 2.77 million people telling him that Nick The Dick is throwing his game under the bus….He's gonna know about it
Unless you're Brian Harman….then you probably you don't think they are the 'best fans in the world'
Go Bryson
Bryson really believes what he says. Calling Augusta a Par 68 for him is what he thought. Was he wrong? Of course. But he is good for quotes. Bryson really wants everyone to like him.
Faldo is mad because Bryson signed up to bring Reebok back… Bryson don't like square shoes😂😂😂😂
If Brandumb Chumlee could even play why doesn't he try the senior tour??? Because he can't… Brandle no Q school .. should be the moniker that sticks
Haven’t you guys set up your Bryson beanbag hot stone massage tent outside of any LIV events yet?
Oh boy. Round 2 just wrecked it. Tied 2nd going into the weekend. Imagine if he had a strategy
Good for Bryson, Don't put up with shit from Faldo
Great topics! I agree on everything you guys were talking about
Bryson's lack of strategy caused him to finish in 2nd place alone, one back of the leader today. Sure, we have two days to go but regardless of what happens Bryson has shown he knows what he is doing. Were you watching Faldo? Could he fall apart over the weekend? Sure, but so could anybody. Nothing would make me happier than to see Bryson win this weekend. I won't even mention that other guy's name. That's how little I care what he thinks.
Good-on-Ya mate, thanks for pointing out the Arrogance of Nick and Brandel. That said, an oppositional voice is what keeps the world a fascinating place ❤️
He hits it a mile, that is a strategy. Didn't VJ and those types of players call it bomb and gouge.
This is off the subject but I puke when I hear the word SIR attached to athletes and entertainers. Just shows you how hard up England is for heroes.. I could see if they fought in a war with bravery or saved people etc..
Can we just say that if he did in fact have NO strategy then he would be one of the greatest "feel" golfers?!? Thats just a dumb comment
R&A must really hate him and LIV to pull this moronic cheating bullshit move and keep a straight face while doing it. Killing off golf and true sportsmanship must be fun game to play as an anonymous ref
Just let Bryson be Bryson….
Bryson's strategy didn't work today. He trampled down the grass, violating rule 8.1.
Fast forward to today and Bryson gets a two stroke penalty from the R&A who protect Sir Nick at all costs. Indecently he was penalized for something he didn't do. Then they pull up some footage that you can't see his feet. He wasn't really penalized for improving his lie. But because he clapped back at Saint Sir Nick.
