Cam Smith was a cheater as a player throughout his career and is bias in his media career. He should be imparial yet his dummy spit at Qld was ridiculous. Galen was the only on to put in him his place with concrete examples over multiple yrs – and don't get me started with the sliding tackles and coathangers Billy Slater did and never got punished ! He was probably dirtier than Smith yet no one dares remind him or call him up – why?. Where was this outrage at the NRL refs' repeated blunders at Dragons games which cost them the games and actually decided the games' outcome unlike Orgin where NSW were 20pts+ ahead. Also the NRL came out in ensuing days and publicly stated their refs' errors were wrong and those decisions are why Dragons lost those games. Had we actually had received the correct decision across those few games, the team would be in 13/14 place not last and likely this year's wooden spooners.

I'm more surprised there wasn't a clear angle to show irrefutably whether it was touched or not. The best angle showed Bostock's finger flick backward which would suggest the ball touched it but it wasn't clear enough to over turn the referee's on-field decision. I'd wager if the infield ruled the opposite way and it was reviewed, the video ref would rule it's inconclusive and maintain the ref's decision.

Might be funny. But I think NRL is cooked. The integrity of the game throughout this origin series was compromised several times. Bunker getting it wrong. The ref overruling the bunker to save NSW in game 1. This series was a s*** show from start to finish. I’m a Victorian and realise now that origin is compromised. Not worth watching. I’m going back to Union.
Yeh its not rocket science. ALl it takes is one dude to look at replay a few times in slomo. For the big games, EVERYTHING should be reviewed, however long it takes. Getting decisions wrong on the big games turns people OFF the sport!

Gould is a hypocritical person, he’s always made slamming the refs a huge part of his commentary, Channel 9 are arguably worse as they are the ones who facilitate it.
