  1. I LOVE BASKETBALL I LOVE HEARING ABOUT BASKETBALL I LOVE HEARING ABOUT MY TWO FAVORITE fellas TALKING AND THINKING ABOUT BASKETBALL THEY THINK AND TALK AND I LOVE TO TUNE IN AND ENGAGE!!!

  2. I am with Cody on the depth thing. Personally I don't understand how an an NBA player can't make a 10 man rotation. Absolute garbage from the league.

  3. The Spurs screwed up not making a trade at the deadline because their picks are basically worthless since Wemby is a guaranteed playoff guy now and they only have two picks swaps in 2030 and 2031 and Atlantas pick this year.

The Spurs need actual wings since the Thunder are making Wemby start in strong side help defense and if Castle is on the ball then the weak side rim protectors are Vassell, Fox, Johnson, Harper or Champagnie.

  4. I constantly feel like I need to fact check the OKC commentary…

    1. You spent basically the first half of the pod talking about how impressive it is that the spurs are competitive and how through the season everyone was like "Oh maybe they'll make the playoffs this year" and didn't even mention that they're playing an OKC thunder without Dub or Ajay. We don't have our second or third ball handler. We've ended up running JMac as our second ball handler after he wasn't in the rotation for the first two series or the last half of the season. The curve this Spurs team is getting graded on is insane.

    2. Talking about the off season and getting iHart and "Small Markets aren't supposed to be able to go out and get these great deals on great players." The iHart deal was seen as an overpay until we won the title. Caruso was a steal, but his extension was seen as an overpay for an aging guard. There is a lot of revisionist history going on with a "how did the Thunder get so lucky" and ignoring that the consensus was that those moves were mediocre at best.

  5. Ben is spot on with the reactions to this series. Literally after every game it's been like, "series is over. [team that won previous game] has figured them out"

This series is as bad as I've ever seen it.

  6. Unfortunate you do not give the Knicks their flowers, but default to glazing the spurs and OKC to the levels you glazed the Celtics all season for naught.

  7. 28:54 it's almost like all of the whinging about small market vs big market has been much ado about nothing! we've watched the knicks, bulls, wizards, nets, and clippers (pre-cp3) be largely irrelevant for literally decades, while the spurs, thunder, nuggets, pacers, etc. have been good whenever their literal billionaire owners have decided it was worth trying to field a good team
