Aaron Wise: “My Wife Has Become the Perfect Caddie” | ISCO Championship 2026

Aaron Wise reflects on his third-round 66 at the 2026 ISCO Championship, revealing why having his wife on the bag has become one of the biggest reasons behind his remarkable comeback.

⛳ Wise believes Saturday was actually his best round of the week, insisting he played better than his score suggested despite only shooting four under.

🧠 The American says the biggest improvement from last week’s contention came mentally, explaining that he stayed calm, patient and fully committed to every shot throughout the round.

📈 Wise credits the John Deere Classic with teaching him valuable lessons about handling pressure, lessons he immediately put into practice on Saturday.

🏆 Heading into the final round just one shot off the lead, the former PGA TOUR winner sees Sunday as another opportunity to learn rather than something to fear.

❤️ One of the biggest stories of his comeback is his wife, who has now been caddying for him for more than a year despite having almost no golf experience before taking the bag.

👫 Wise says having his best friend beside him allows him to focus entirely on playing, while trusting her to handle everything else a professional caddie would normally do.

💬 He expects to lean heavily on her again during Sunday’s final round to stay present, relaxed and enjoy the moment regardless of what happens.

  1. I will be rooting for him, but he is second, just one off the lead heading to the final round, and it is as if he refuses to acknowledge how close he is to winning. I mean, that shows you how fragile the psyche is in sports, or anything else. I mean, he could easily win tomorrow, but seems too afraid to do it. I think he can do it. I guess he is just trying to temper expectations, but at some point you have to acknowledge reality and go get it done.
