One problem with golf is that it has too many crazy, genuinely pointless rules. Not all of these are crazy, but golf is full of them. The power line rule makes perfect sense. The fruit one does not.

My local course has a Par 3 with an elevated tee box & overhead power lines right where most apex’s would be at. They are high enough to sit in the sweet spot of the appropriate iron (7i) for me too and I have hit those lines many times. It’s always a re-hit. Sometimes when I didn’t want it to as well if the shot was gonna be good 😒
