Last American won US Women's Open is Allisen Corpuz in 2023, not Julie Inkster in 1999 as broadcaster stated in the beginning of this video. In fact, there were 8 American champions since 1999, including Julie Inkster won again in 2002.
What a great day of golf! The amateurs had a great showing. The USGA highlights were way superior to the Golf Channels.

The LPGA tour is fun to watch because you don’t really know who is going to win the tournament. Sure Nelly is favorite.
The problem with the LPGA tour is most of its tournaments are played on American soil and the US only has one superstar. If Nelly isn’t playing, it’s usually an Asian or European winning it.
Keira Romero, Farrah O’Keefe and Asterisk Talley can’t come soon enough.
