I will use this one day.
Great advice! Did you use anything to stick the tiles do the floor or putting mat to the tiles? I am afraid it may move once the pressure is applied.
Hi,
What thickness gym mat did you go for and what thickness was your mat and surround turf ?
Hi Mitch. What’s your overall room dimensions? Looks huge!
WTF? I have a Country Club Elite mat. I love the thing. I have no problems with my joints and I play almost everyday and am 52 years old. Where does this stuff come from?
great video mate. big upgrade on your old set up. Well done!
I did the same thing works great I went with a Sigpro hitting strip. Feels like real turf and no more elbow pain.
Do you stick that strip down or anything?
great vid!
Man, wish I could do this. My mats have to be mobile so my wife can still park in the garage. I'll come up with something though. Great video! 👍
What about stance mats? I am not sure if my turf is good for even standing on. I have strips for hitting already that I will put in, but I am not sure about what is best for standing on. Thanks for the great videos.
Thanks for the info
I’m putting in my first simulator and have a couple questions / concerns: Do you have anything below your hitting mat ? Looks like you also cut out the floor mats below ? So want to make sure I’m at the same elevation as the entire floor / putting area. What is your floor / putting mat ? Just don’t see that in the description. Also, I’m thinking of buying the SkyTrak+ (which you have) but… I’ve got concerns with how it works with GSPro, I see that’s what you are running also. Does that work efficiently and are those working & comparable together ?
Great video! I’m looking for the panels like what you have on your wall, the black rectangles. Where did you find those or how did you make them?
Another great vid – will be using this technique in a few months when building my sim.
Do you stick the gym matts to the ground and/or the turf to the gym matts or do you just put both down and they’re good to go?
where is everyone getting thees massive pieces of HQ turf? I need to redo my simulator floor at tnd of this season so I want to start sourcing parts now.
Most use Lexan and foam beneath their hiing mats. Doesnt yours want to wrinkle up and move over time from the hiing.?
Good video, but i suggest a foam mat under the hitting mat, ur shafts will love u
I bought a crappy mat and now have wrist pain and elbow pain. What is the best one in all honesty? I bought a great net and I can't just chew up my lawn
What size are your mat cuts please ?
Where did you buy your putting mat?
Hi, thank you for the info! What putting turf do you use? My concern is wearing out the area where I am standing, do you notice any wear happening there?
Horse stable mats (livestock mats) are cheaper than the gym mats. You can cut it out with a multi tool. Smells like ass for about a month.
Best hack ever. I chopped off my 5×4 in to small hitting strips. Now my floor is all even.
Could you provide a link or name to the large putting turf carpet/mat you used?
Surely you would want the foam tiles below the hitting mat rather than the concrete. What is the point of foam tiles if it's not to help protect under the hitting area.
You can add to this by explaining that they need to calculate how high the putting/landing surface is relative to the hitting mat and adjust using the correct height EVA foam. Hitting mats, putting/landing surfaces do not have uniform sizes. EVA foam does, but one has to select the right height.
Saw the Tee Turf Hitting mat strip, 120cm x 30 cm. Have no clue if they deliver to North America, specifically Canada.
This is bad advice if you have any sort of thickness in foam backing. A box cutter blade will wander off your scribed line through the the turf level and you’ll end up with horribly bad cuts. Cutting from the top is a far safer option for a neat finish
How do you secure putting turf to the foam tiles?
