Visitors to San Antonio’s Pearl retail and restaurant destination will now have one more thing to keep them busy: an 18-hole miniature golf course that includes shrunken-down versions of the city’s most famous landmarks.
Pearl Putt made its debut this Friday across from 1100 Springs Plaza. The seasonal course is built to offer a family-friendly activity for those visiting the north-of-downtown complex, which welcomes more than 5 million visitors annually.
Fabricated by Texas-based Tiny Town Studios, the course features replicas of local landmarks, such as the Alamo and the Tower of the Americas, and pays tribute to the Pearl’s brewing roots.
“Pearl Putt is designed for families, locals and visitors alike, adding another reason to come to Pearl and experience the full energy of the district this summer,” said Beth Smith, vice president of media and PR for Silver Ventures, Pearl’s owner.
The course is meant to feel like a surprise tucked into the heart of the Pearl for visitors to discover while wandering the property, Smith added. In addition to familiar city landmarks, players on the course will navigate through replicas of the district’s historic smokestacks and the Hotel Emma.
Pearl Putt will be open 10 a.m.-11 p.m. seven days a week. Tickets are priced at $12 for adults and $10 for children ages 12 and under. Visitors looking to take in the experience this weekend can purchase tickets directly on site or digitally via Google Maps or Apple Maps.
