Are the Detroit Lions already past their peak? 🤔 In today’s video, we take an in-depth look at why the Lions could be headed in the wrong direction after their recent success.
Detroit reached the NFC Championship Game in 2023, followed it up with a Divisional Round exit, and then watched both of their coordinators leave for head coaching jobs. Ben Johnson is now leading the Chicago Bears, Aaron Glenn is the head coach of the New York Jets, and the Lions are still searching for answers on offense after firing John Morton just one season into the job.
We also break down new offensive coordinator Drew Petzing’s track record with the Arizona Cardinals, where his offenses ranked 14th, 28th, and 29th while Arizona compiled a 15-36 record. Is he the right person to keep Detroit’s offense among the NFL’s elite?
On top of the coaching turnover, the Lions have suffered several major roster losses and injuries. We discuss:
Terrion Arnold’s release and legal situation
Brian Branch’s torn Achilles injury
Kirby Joseph’s ongoing knee concerns
The departures of David Montgomery, Frank Ragnow, Taylor Decker, and other key contributors
Whether Detroit has enough talent remaining to compete in the NFC
Has Detroit already reached its ceiling, or can Dan Campbell keep the Lions among the NFL’s contenders?

Have the Detroit Lions already peaked, or will they bounce back in 2026?

I can hype when on cell but don't know how when on computer Thanks Swifty Bear And Beer Down!!! specially on a hot day!
I didn’t realize the questions in their secondary.
Trouble in Detroit. Back to 92 for them.
Pagin bill burr????
I just want to beat all division rivals twice, especially the Packers. I do want to figure out how to beat Detroit consistently.
FGB!
BEAR DOWN, SWIFTY!
golff isn't that good either. he was great because of Ben Johnson's success
Your voice is so soothing to any remaining skeptics about who is the Nortb Kings! 🎉
Bears will again be NFC North Champs!
@Swifty I agree but the constant national media slurping of GB boggles my mind
I literally just commented this to somebody on a different video. 2023-2024 was Peak for Lions.
Its hard to believe both Norway 🇳🇴 and France 🇫🇷 both have the same wins 👉🏻2️⃣👈🏻 at MetLife Stadium this World Cup as the Jets last season.🤪2️⃣
🤔… don't like GB, Minn, or Detroit 🐻⬇️
Great BEAR DOWN
yes, the Lions already peaked. I compared the Lions to the Atlanta Falcons when they had Kyle Shanahan as their offensive coordinator. Once he left, they were never the same team. He was the engine. Ben Johnson was the engine of the Detroit Lions.
The lions have already had their best team
Their drafts are getting worse
People talk smack about Ryan poles not fixing our D line, but the lions haven’t been able to fix their defense in five years.
The team that I’m always worried about is the Packers. They always have an awesome offensive coach, a really good quarterback and elite defensive end. The Packers always draft well and they don’t really make any stupid moves.
That being said, Caleb, ben johnson, Dennis Allen, and Ryan Poles are absolutely elite at what they do.
The bears will now always have an awesome foursome at QB, general manager, OC, and DC, to bring talent to this team, to get the most out of this team
Lions will be lucky to have a winning season.
