My final course for my Pembrokeshire mini break was to be at Rosemarket Golf Club or Dawn till Dusk as it often known. I’d stayed very close by, actually in Rosemarket, on my last West Wales break when I played 4 courses back in 2024, but wasn’t playing 9 hole courses back then.

After five previous rounds I was pretty tired so it was nice to have the option of playing 9 or 18 holes here. My energy levels decided on nine but after getting on the course, playing the full 18 would give a much better reflection of what the course has to offer. Many of the holes differ significantly when played off their respective back 9 boxes with holes changing their pars by playing at different lengths.

Unfortunately for me and my timing, the greens has recently been treated but chatting to many members on my way round, it was really pleasing to hear how good they had been up to this point and also hearing how positive everyone was about the club. With the amazing value green fees, it’s clear to see that this is a brilliant place to enjoy your golf at a fantastic price point. Similarly, membership rates are a good bargain too and a really good place to get in to the game.

The course has good variety on offer, even if you just play the nine holes. A very long par 5 to start mixed with another very challenging par 5 half way round blends well with the nice mixture of par 4’s and par 3’s. Mix this in with a course that is shared with a runway complete with a windsock(!) and you’ve got a really fun course on offer.

The most exciting news with Rosemarket is the plans to extend the course to a full 18 holes, potentially opening in 2027. Planning has been approved and the land purchased so hopefully I can return when it has been opened to check out the new layout.

As I mentioned before, this is golf at a great price point with a really friendly vibe in a tranquil setting. If you’re in the area this is a great place to get your golfing fix on a fun course at a brilliant price. 👌
