Well somethings not right…most modern driver heads weigh between 190 and 200 grams. My new Taylormade QI4d weighs 194.5 grams.
Raw driver heads weigh around 200g. 60? ….
Something wrong in Denmark! It might be your weight is off because it was on your turf, try putting scale on hard surface. Or scale is broken.
Thanks for the lead tape video. I’ve been using it to tweak my woods and hybrids. It’s a great way to save money and provide some adjustment if these newer fancier weight systems aren’t in the budget. A roll on Amazon is cheap. Maybe use some rubber gloves in applying it because they’re health concerns in touching it. Once you’re set, I like to put some thin aluminum HVAC tape over the lead tape so I never have to worry it flying off mid round or damaging a sim screen. Being a senior my swing speed is likely maxed out, but having a little more mass on the club head helps me know more exactly where the club head is in my swing. I haven’t finished a round yet where I thought my biceps were burning from the few extra grams of weight and I couldn’t possibly throw back a beverage of my choice. Have fun with it if you enjoy dialing in your clubs, if not, no harm no foul.
Definitely not 60g standard about 200g with hosel. Surprised he didn't catch that. Doesn't change the concept of the video though.
Do you use lead tape on your gamer?
They also go well with my lead paint chips as a snack while watching PGAT.

I found with modern Drivers the tape can come flying off. The surface is too slick for the glue to hold. It sticks OK to irons.

You should delete this video and start over. Your head does not weigh 60g.
Nice thing about lead tape, is not only can you increase swing weight, but depending on placement, you can also raise or lower spin based on cg movement

Scale wasn’t working properly on the carpet but it’s all about lead tape placement on driver not how much the head weighs.
First thing I did when I got my Takomo was put 6 inches of lead tape down the center of the bottom. Been hitting bombs all since January

driver heagd HAS to weigh more than 60g…should be 193-200g
Cover the lead tape with packing tape (cut to fit each lead tape piece). Helps it not slide off with grass/tee/turf interaction. Not perfect but tends to stay put.
Yes please some testing with the wedges. I have a tendency, this year only, never before, to pull my wedge and lob wedge left. All other irons my natural ball flight is a baby fade.
Lead tape is such an under rated and under used golf accessory. Have lead tape on spots on all my clubs from driver to putter to just fine tune everything from spin to path to height.
Good video I just don’t think I could go down the lead tape wormhole with myself or my little players. Whacamole comes to mind.
Ive tried lead tape all over my driver and it just won't fix my horrible swing….
there is no Driver in this world weighting 60 grams. I have a super lightweight driver head (carbon forged etc big bertha 2023) which comes with 184 grams, my shaft incl grip is 120, total 304 gr
How does your driver head only weigh 60 grams? That makes no sense sir.
