So yes it had to so with Scotty (grand slam, birthday, etc) and wanting a closer duel with whomever. But here is the big problem that many fans had, He severely damaged someone else's property at Oakmont (locker) and these lockers are unique/antiques. OK…we get it. Heat of the moment stuff, you drop an F bomb, break a club, etc. But when you destroy/damage something sacred, that is where fans draw the line (Case in point with Sergio at the Masters. And here is where it goes a step further. It wasn't in the heat of the moment. It was about 20 minutes or so after the round. That is a problem fans have a difficult time reconciling.

I am a casual golf watcher. I seriously thought Clark was European based on fan reaction. It would be equally as silly if he was but the fans were embarrassing. It is not a gentleman’s game anymore.
