The Pokegama Women’s Morning Golf League hosted our annual Invitational on June 23rd. The morning started out nice, but the rain caught us out for our last few holes. The golf course is in excellent shape this year. Our theme this year was All Things Minnesota. We had 84 participants this year from Minnesota, Wisconsin and Canada. Special Thanks to our Sponsors: Grand Rapids State Bank, First National Bank of Coleraine, Paul Bunyan Communications, Acheson Tire Co, and Northland Closets. And of course the Pokegama Grill and Tom Beaudry, Pokegama GC.
The Pokegama Grill did a fantastic job with our lunch: Minnesota Sushi, Wild Rice Salad, Swedish Meatballs, Mashed Potatoes, Corn, and Nut Goodie Bars for desert.
Our 1st Place Winners: Emma Rendle, Mikki Kromy. Joan Hasskamp, Sandy Arcand. Margo Sodahl, Wendy Christenson. Diane Pittenger, Cathy Kilpatrick. Michelle Vandevoorde, Susan Spears. Jeanne Major, Kim McDonald. and Mistee Gabel, Alaina Gabel.
