LAWRENCE, Kan. (WIBW) – A 29-year-old Lawrence woman was arrested Thursday evening on two outstanding warrants and additional charges after a foot pursuit in west Lawrence, officials said.
According to the Douglas Co. Sheriff’s Office (DGSO), deputies attempted to serve a warrant about 7 p.m. Thursday in the 2100 block of Kasold Drive. A neighbor notified DGSO that a woman had jumped out of a window of the apartment unit where deputies had knocked at the front door. They reported she ran through the complex parking lot.
Officials said that deputies located her on the golf course near the 1900 block of Quail Creek Drive and took her into custody after an alleged foot pursuit.
She was booked into jail on suspicion of felony interference with law enforcement attempting to serve a felony warrant, assault on an officer due to an attempt to bite a deputy and the outstanding warrants.
