The First Granddaughter shared a new vlog showing her full day at UFC Freedom 250, which was held on the White House South Lawn on June 14. From walking through the White House to sitting just behind President Donald Trump during the fights, the teenager offered a rare look at moments the public did not see during the broadcast. The vlog was posted on Kai Trump’s YouTube channel and comes just months before she begins her college golf career at the University of Miami.
Kai Trump shows inside the White House before UFC Freedom 250 event
Kai began the vlog by taking viewers through parts of the White House that are usually not shown. She walked through hallways where she said she “played soccer growing up” before entering the Oval Office. She pointed out the gold-colored details that had been added to the room and also showed the famous button on President Donald Trump’s desk, saying it is used to request a Diet Coke.As evening approached, Kai spent time with family members before heading to her ringside seat. Sitting directly behind her grandfather gave her a close view of the action. She filmed President Trump arriving with UFC CEO Dana White and also captured him greeting fighters before they entered the cage. The rest of the vlog includes several moments from the fights and ends with Kai standing inside the ring after the event. The video was shared on Kai Trump’s official YouTube channel. Josh Hokit’s controversial post-fight remarks were not included in Kai Trump’s vlogWhile Kai’s video focused on her experience at the event, it did not include the night’s biggest controversy. After defeating Derrick Lewis by technical knockout, Josh Hokit made offensive remarks about former First Lady Michelle Obama during his post-fight interview.Days later, Hokit addressed the comment during an appearance on The Ariel Helwani Show. He said, “I thought I was giving her a compliment. I don’t think anyone viewed it as Michelle Obama being a man. It’s more like she knows how to deal with adversity, she knows how to work hard like a man when the times get tough.” His explanation drew more criticism, and he has since refused to apologize for the remark. The event also featured major title fights. Ciryl Gane defeated Alex Pereira to win the interim UFC heavyweight championship, while Justin Gaethje knocked out Ilia Topuria to become the undisputed UFC lightweight champion. Kai, meanwhile, is set to join the University of Miami this fall, where she will play for the Hurricanes women’s golf team.
