Bryson Won The US Open By Six Shots

2020 US Open, Winged Foot — one of the hardest courses in major championship history. Bryson DeChambeau was the only player in the entire 61-man field to break par all week. He closed with a 3-under 67, the only under-par round on Sunday, and won by six over Matthew Wolff.

He did it by bombing his driver into the rough and wedging out — “the complete opposite of what you think a US Open champion does,” said Rory McIlroy. His winning score was 13 strokes better than the 1974 “Massacre at Winged Foot.” He capped it with a 7-foot par putt on 18 and threw his arms in the air.
