He did not get $5M. Cody Campbell said Sorsby only received a partial payment
Texas Tech said they were not asking Sorsby to pay back what they have already paid him. Texas Tech pays NIL money in installments. So it is unlikely that he has already been paid the full NIL amount. But we don't know what happened behind the scenes.
He gambled on his team and took unders. He shouldn't have the privilege to play NFL
He made 9000 bets over a couple of years span. Hes a degenerate gambler guys. Thats not going away in a couple of months. Any team that lets this guy play for them deserves anything that this brings. Just better to walk away from this.
Bro, you got Gruden on here and you’re doing ALL THIS TALKIN?! Let Gruden cook bro. Just chill.
Sorsby did not get all of the NIL money. He did get a large sum of it and was told he didn't have to pay it back.
Sorry Jon, Bo Jackson did not go in the supplemental draft Lol; as a lifelong Tampabay fan we still own that train wreck with our original owner being told by Bo you can draft me if you want but I will never play for you!
Bo Jackson was not in the supplemental draft. He was drafted by Tampa in 1986 and refused to sign and he was drafted in the seventh round by the the the Raiders because everybody thought he was going to continue to play baseball
Bo Jackson wasn't selected in the Supplemental draft. He was drafted #1 overall in the '86 draft by Tampa and refused to play for them and signed a MLB contract with the Royals. Tampa forfeited their rights to Jackson and then the following '87 draft the Raiders used a 7th rd pick on him.
The way NFL media is canceling Gruden made me forget why he got banned from the league in the first place.
Come on, his record with Cincy was 11 wins, 22 losses, that's not a drop-dead world-ending pick! TT was threatened with the State of Oklahoma, Kansas, & Utah AGs backing the BIG12 position of sanctioning the forfeiture of wins and ZERO presents in the conference Title game. That was a death nail TT did not want. Mr. Cody Campbell got taken by a punk kid QB Grifter/Gambler for 5 million bucks. Brilliant bet!
The NFL should ban him. What he did is unforgivable.
Such idiots i thought sorsby him self got a injunction not texas tech😂 just because he can stay on the team didn't mean he would play
I believe the judicial process was gonna catch up before the first college snap. Ncaa filed Accelerated Appeal in 7th Appellate Court the same day the injunction was rendered. The safest bet, enter the draft now before its too late. Due Process was gonna happen before Sept. 3 judges decide if case merits jury trial. It does not. Easy decision. Why? He already admitted being guilty in writing admitting to his addiction. Insanity and addiction pleas are for lesser sentences. Still guilty. Once due process played out, his goose was cooked.
I believe law enforcement officers are investigating underage gambling. Ongoing. More to come later. I betcha.
Nil from the college itself was set at 20 mil. It's boosters and businesses moving the value way up.
Everything tech was threatened with should be applied to Cincinnati
He’s only getting around 1 million, per sources within the program. He got a signing bonus and a couple of checks for spring ball and that’s it, Texas Tech is not one of these schools too stupid to write in clauses into their contracts lmao. As a matter of fact, Texas Tech might be the best in the entire country at writing these contracts.
Ken Paxton and Maga Cody looking really good – LOL – what a joke those guys are – and the did president of Texas Tech basically say if you cheat on a test and get caught you have a disability and you will take the test after therapy? What a joke
They did not give him $5 million to go away. They paid him what he was owed to that point
Only reason Tech got Sorsby was because of the ACL tear. Hammond was and is the future.
Come on guys, takes like 15 minutes to figure all this shit out
They are not paying him 5 million
Quit making up rumors
this guy doesn’t know the facts Half ass pod cast
This is a US Labor Law issue and not a "Gambling is bad" one, like the fragily emotional fans are trying to spin it. The courts keep ruling against the NCAA, because the players aren't employees. That's why the NCAA has no legal authority over the players. All these issues can be easily solved with player unions, so the players can negotiate the rules and fair compensation. Unfortunately the NCAA's greedy university members want to continue using their players as a source of cheap slave labor, so they can keep all the revenue, the players generate, for themselves. So anytime the NCAA trys punishing a player again, they will end up right back in court, to have their arses handed to them. The legal precedent has already been set, by multiple courts. It doesn't matter if a player murdered someone, because the NCAA still has no legal authority to punish the players, until they go through the process of giving the players legal representation over themselves, to get a seat at the negotiation table.
$5 million isn't the sweetest deal of all time. That still goes to Florida senator Rick Scott who got paid $300 million to go away from HCA after stealing billions from the taxpayers
My take is, there are very few people on the planet who are prototypical NFL QB height and weight who can run and have a legit strong NFL arm who put up 1st round numbers at Cincy. He will be taken in the 1st or 2nd round of the supplemental draft.
Cheese and crackers… at least use facts for your dialogue. This video was embarrassing
1:15….. He is not getting the full $5mill. He keeps what they paid him out so far which is reported to be around $2mill, maybe a lil less.
9000 bets valued at $98000 there’s no way you can trust that he’s over his bad habit. Every bad throw in clutch time will always be looked at as a payoff or point shave
my guess is dallas cowboys get him let him sit and mature more around dak whos a great leader there is a out after 2 years on daks contract with a max of 3 then see what u got in sorsby of if dak gets injured u got hopefully a capable guy
This guy is a total clown. Got half his facts wrong about Tech and then manages to overtalk Gruden. What a tool
I cant imagine an nfl team taking a chance on a kid with a major gambling addiction.
As a Tech fan really frustrated, He is the Devil in college, but NFL teams are drooling over him .. He will be a 1st or Second round pick.. and when he starts and is the QB of your favorite team they will root for him … So stupid and hypocrisy
Sorsby only got to keep 1.4 million.
He did not get $5M. Cody Campbell said Sorsby only received a partial payment
