  1. Giap is fantastic. She is the Gracie to your George Burns. If I ever visit Thailand I will make her dinner. A Pad Se Ew that would knock her Aunt Bobby's socks off

  2. Just watched your interview with MSG, aka the other, other Matt. Lots of way of the playa wisdom today. I'm working my way down to high handicapper status right now with lots of mental reminders courtesy of Matty Boom Boom.

  3. Statistics in golf have been used by BIG GOLF to make you believe you are worse than you are in order to SELL you stuff. They are also used to make you believe you are better than you are to SELL you stuff. The "average golfer" is a myth, it is the wool pulled over your eyes to keep you inn a dream world, that world revolves around SELLING you stuff.

  4. Hi. How I Use – Average Golfer Dingleberry Stats. 183 yards out. AGDS says hit 7 iron.
I hit a "confidenttial" 7 iron 135 to 140. That's perfect! It leaves me 50 yards short. Easy pitch, (GIOTG), 1 putt for par, 2 putts for bogey…MONEY !

  5. NGL im getting a little upset when i shoot 83. Ive gotten to the point where I know I should be in the 76-80. That level of golf isnt hard to attain its merely not making stupid decisions, playing within your ability and sinking a putt or two here and there. And practicing MAYBE 1-2 a week with 1 round on the weekend. Up and downs are the name of the game and accepting that youre gonna make mistakes but it isn't close to the end of the world.

  6. When I moved to the senior tees, my handicap dropped. I did not move up until age 70 and for the last 8 years my handicap has averaged just under 11. The difference was distance from the green after the drive. The ability to get on or near a green in regulation makes a world of difference.

  7. Since watching Sidekick videos, I've become a babe magnet at my club. It's hard to make birdies while constantly fighting off hot chicks. It's a problem. They toss bras and panties at me when I'm hitting shots.

  8. Matt, almost all of your videos over the years are saying basically the same thing—and I will continue to watch and listen every time. I don´t think we can drill this information into our heads enough. We are not pros, we will never BE pros. If people truly enjoy blasting driver into the woods every hole and taking 10 drops per round, good for them. I am not one of them, and I cannot wait to get back out onto the course with your tips in mind.

  9. Mr. Playa sir, I will be very cross indeed if those silly billies don’t invite you to their Internet Invitational this year. You’d be so great! Not that you need them, but rather that they need you

  10. Dude, you are so right. I went up to Virginia and played a course that my friend plays weekly. It was my first time on the course… The first round, I stunk it up with a 89. Before we played the 2nd round I told him you don't have a chance, I've seen the course now and will be in the 70's today. I went out and played the course not my friend and carded a 79. I won by 6 strokes. The focus that you have installed in me is phenomenal. Thank You sir, hope to meet up one day and play a round.

  11. What are they on about "Amateurs shouldn't worry about the fairway"? Golf is hard enough, why make it harder by not being on the fairway? Bomb and gouge is stupid.

Ironically, my ultimate goal is to shoot consistently in the 80s anywhere I play. That seems like something I can achieve.

  12. Always love your advice. Most golfers wont listen but I can back you up. I was a single digit. I drove the ball 230. Hit basically every fairway though. Always near the green with irons. Was very good with my PW and expected to be on the green any shot inside 100yards. Rarely 3 putted. I figured out the driver early (12 degree) and the importance of being on fairway over long and in the woods. Never pin hunted and always aimed center green or away from hazards. Could get up and down around the greens (inside 6 feet regularly). Putted dieing the ball at the hole which made 3 putts rare.

This is really all you need to play sub 80s golf. Its really not hard. Controlled swing, Good course management, know your wedge (spend 30 days hitting one wedge from every distance inside 100yards and even chip with it), and consontrate on speed with your putts. Listen to Matty, what he teaches is what I figured out years ago.
