great video Matt, dont usually leave a comment but wanted to as this video was a great watch, from the tournament play to the analysis from the studio. the way it was edited made it flow perfect and made it a great view.

Matt just needed to shave a couple of shots off. Instead he’s shaved a couple of eyebrows off. 🤨. Easy mistake to make.
My $.02 Matt: (1.) Get back to playing golf not golf swing: Play more short rounds but far less range/sim time; (2.) Psychology: Get back to rating your shots 1,2, or 3 even during comp; (3.) *Cover my move & help me with citizenship & I'll be your caddie*; (4.) Don't go at flags unless forced to: Let's go for middle of all greens & let your putting decide more scores while your SGA numbers will go up.
You've got the game and everything else: I understand that it's always a matter of, "putting it all together in each round, " so… I'd say nearly forget about overtraining things like chipping, because your creativity will always be what executes those shots and that skill won't leave you: better you run full speed toward the weaknesses, like hitting more fairways, especially if you do so by addressing that you can only hit a fade or a slice with driver, so if you're gonna hit the sim/range, make it about shot shaping, hitting draws, just to show that you can. It's either that or getting a 12°-13° driver for all of these British ball-placement courses! Love you Matt, you can do this. Forgive yourself more often. 🍻 Cheers 🍻
I thought you hit it in trees or wider just as you usually do; the iron play was dreadful; short game and putting ok as usual. You still have no fairway finder with any club from the tee, please, please start work on this now!!
Great video Matt. Love the way you are analysing your game and stats to see where your improvements should come from and not hiding in generalities. You are making your journey relatable and accessible, and it is inspiring me to keep focusing on how to improve my game. Keep the faith.
Hey matt, Just wanna wish you the best for the consultation for your foot and hope it gets better soon and fixed soon. One advice I'd give for you is not aim to chase a score. I noticed on one of the back 9 holes you were 4 or 5 over with a few holes to left to play. Whilst I think it is quite a good thing to have an aim, I also believe that it may put unwanted pressure on. Whereas if you sort of 'forget' about the current score and the score to reach and instead still have aims but make them smaller aim and take them as small wins instead of focusing on a score your focusing on something else in the tournament which takes your mind of it a little. Me personally I found it to help me as it made me play a little better but I think its worth a go for you maybe. Anyway keep progressing your game is looking the strongest I've seen it been in a while and is looking really good and good luck for you consultation.
