Haiti is a tough out. They give the US fits every time. And they were surprisingly strong in qualifying…especially given they can’t play in Haiti. I don’t expect them to win a game going forward, but I do expect them to make Brazil and Morocco work way harder than they expect.

Might have my saltire goggles on but I fail to see how Haiti were the supposed better team, I seem to remember them having one real header that we didn’t deal with all game. Other than that we had our goal and hit the post.

An ugly game but a win is a win. I hope we don't fall into the trap of playing long-ball stuff too much. Do that against teams who can use possession better and we'll get skelped. It's good to have that option but it has to be varied or it's just ''here, have the ball''.
The good news is we can play a lot better and three points might be enough to get through the groups.
BTW – the best player performance I've seen so far is the Moroccan number 6 that plays with Lille. What a composed player he is.
I am not going to press play on any video that gives us any credit for that trash tier performance against a trash tier team.
We played like a Sunday league team. No direction, no control, no fluidity, no composure. Just the same old plucky garbage we've watched for decades.
Genuinely the worst game I've watched in recent memory. And no it wasn't fascinating defensively. Clarke is a dinosaur. This team could be so much better.
