Ahead of the the national championship’s return to Shinnecock Hills in two weeks, Andy, Brendan, and Kevin Van Valkenburg continue their rewatch of the 1986 majors with a Flashback Friday on Raymond Floyd’s U.S. Open win. The three share their favorite moments from Sunday’s round, available for viewing on the USGA’s YouTube Channel. They discuss the main stars of the day, including Floyd, Greg Norman, and Lee Trevino, and give some takes on the ABC broadcast itself. In a new add to these major rewatch episodes, Andy, Brendan, and KVV hand out awards such as “The Patrick Cantlay Housecat of the Week” and “The Tommy Fleetwood Memorial Yellow Square” to players who deserved some recognition for their efforts 40 years ago. Kevin sends this episode off with some detailed research about Raymond Floyd’s off-the-course business ventures, including the management of a first-of-its-kind band in the United States!

I'll take all the long, long form flashback pods.
Al Trautwig was a fixture on all the NY Rangers broadcasts I watched as a kid on MSG Network. Definitely not a golf guy 😂
Beefy Rewatchable Pod.
love the photographer that got flamed by Floyd and the broadcast wearing a IndyCar shirt lmao. during the CART days!
YouTube Premium SZN
Mike Butts ..not related to Seymour 😂
Great pod gents
This was great, definitely the good old days, I was 22,was surprised Floyd's intense stare and eyes weren't mentioned, thought that would make dead horse category
FEG is MAGA?
Great job guys, and that really was a fun tournament despite the sound issues
Not sure you guys have ever done anything better than this. 10/10
They weren’t kidding about the high-pitched screech throughout the middle of the video.
KVV excellent addition
To answer Brenden’s question, in 1986, I was 21 and definitely preferred US open to all other tournaments
Bullshit this only got 4.5k views. Plz keep doing these
